FAQ's Production

What is the largest canvas size that can be produced?
The largest roll of canvas that our printers allow for is 60 wide, however all stretched canvas needs two inches on each side of the canvas for production. Simply Canvas can print a custom size canvas as large as 56" wide by 120 " long for a stretched canvas. For a non-stretched canvas, an even larger 60" wide by 480" long print can be produced. Simply Canvas utilizes state of the art equipment for enlarging images as well as high quality Epson printers and Epson branded Ultra Chrome inks, rated to last 100 years.

Do you offer custom sizes?
Yes of course! We offer over 5,000 different sizes! We can do any combination of sizes from 6x6 to 56x476.

Do you have a template for custom sizes?
We do not have a template for custom sizes. We can print over 5,000 different sizes of canvas prints. It will be nearly impossible to make a template for every size! Stick to this rule: what ever your target size is for the front side of the canvas, add an additional 4 inches to the height and width to create your 2 inch border wrap. See file prep for more set up assistance.

Can you stretch a canvas in the shape of a circle?
Simply Canvas does not produce circle shape canvas prints. Our stretcher frames do not allow for the professional production of this shape.

What is the difference between the hanging hardware and the black paper?
The hanging hardware is a heavy duty wire that is across the back of the frame, which allows the print to hang flush against the wall. Adding hanging hardware to your canvas print allows it to be ready for display as soon as you or your customer receives it. Black paper covers the back of the print for a more finished look with a sawtooth hanger. The cost of the hanging hardware is $5 and the black paper with the sawtooth is $10.

Are the prints sprayed with any type of protectant?
Yes, all of our prints are sprayed with a UV protectant that will protect your print from fading and cracking for many years to come.

What size stretcher frames do you offer?
Our standard stretcher frame is 1 inch. We also offer a thin frame and a 2 frame.

What if my canvas print loosens overtime?
Do not be alarmed. Simply Canvas can send you a small bottle of retentioner spray that is applied to the back of the canvas. Spray a light, even coat on the back of the print. Once the retentioner spray has dried, the canvas will tighten back to its original state.
