Buddy and Karen Goforth of Irresistible Portraits

Simply Canvas is proud to announce the September Studio of the Month winner, Karen and Buddy Goforth of Irresistible Portraits.  Karen has been in photography for twenty-five years and now works with Buddy, her husband and studio manager.           

Karen began her career in photography working at a Sears Portrait Center as well as photographing for church directories.   She has her Masters and Craftsman Degree from the PPA and is a certified photographer.            

Karen and Buddy began Irresistible Portraits in 1990 in the basement of their house.  Today their studio consists of six employees in a historic home, with two ponds, waterfalls, a gazebo and a barn.  They specialize mostly in children but also photograph seniors, families, pets and weddings.            

Karen and Buddy found Simply Canvas at a trade show and wanted to work with a lab that produced canvas prints.  After seeing a Simply Canvas advertisement in a magazine and visiting the web site, Karen and Buddy were hooked and immediately began ordering some samples.            

Buddy and Karen were attracted to the fact that they could order any canvas size, and be able to offer their clients a unique product.  Once they ordered their first canvas, they were blown away by the vibrant colors.  Buddy said that he was so impressed with the color, that he wished Simply Canvas printed on paper, as well as canvas!            

Buddy does not have to do much to market the canvases, he said they sell themselves.  They have a variety of canvases hanging in their studio, and usually sell at least one canvas a day, sometimes more.
